Located in Block 3, Gaborone, is a trending business that is the entire rave right now on social media. The business is none other than Elle Creations, a business that specialises in providing a number of services to a diverse number of clients.
At the core of the business is event planning that includes themed parties, bridal and baby showers, as well as parties and any other events. The business also provides a tailor made service for weddings. Owned by Lindiwe Mosheti, the business was established in 2015, and it has been growing from strength to strength since inception.
Besides events, Mosheti is also into creating handcrafted jewellery that also falls under Elle Creations. She explains that she conceptualised the idea to turn the Block 3 residence into a business after she moved out, and started thinking about ways that she can use the residence. And the rest as they say is history.
“I started small, telling family and friends that I had chairs to hire, and soon the business picked up from there,” she explains.
She also notes that social media and word of mouth have really pushed the business. “Business is growing,” she says noting that like all other businesses they have busy seasons and the quiet ones like in winter. For those who wish to utilise the venue, the package comes with venue, full décor, cutlery, clean up, and use of kitchen. Clients have the option of doing their own catering or asking her to cater for them.
What sets her apart from others in the same business, is that she provides a tailor made service to her clients and that she gives them what they want. She also tries different things when it comes to décor and her clients are guaranteed of a once in a lifetime experience.
“Here privacy is also guaranteed compared to the other venues,” she explains. Her biggest challenge since she established her business is finances and the lack of credit from banks and other institutions.
To keep her customers coming back, she always asks for feedback from clients whether good or bad. “There are so many trends in my line of business right now and I want to be the best,” says Mosheti who has a staff complement of two and relies on casuals during busy periods.
