The Botswana National Olympic Committee is expected to host the gold coast 2018 Queens Baton Relay (QBR) from 1st to 4th May 2017. The Queens baton which previews the 2018 Commonwealth Games scheduled for Gold Coast, Australia will be staged next year in April. During its time in Botswana the baton is expected to pass through different places including Gaborone and Letlhakane among others.
The baton is expected to be at the Supang Memorial Primary School in Letlhakane on 2nd May to afford the Students an opportunity to interact with it and learn more about the Commonwealth. On 3rd May 2017, the baton makes its way to Gaborone
through Mmashoro, Paje and Palapye before departing on 4th May 2017.
The Queens Baton is expected to visit every Commonwealth Country before ending its Journey to the host city of the next Commonwealth Games the Gold Coast, where the Games will be staged from 04th-15th April 2018.
