Registration ends
The Botswana Football Association (BFA) has this week announced that the extension of the 2009/2010 player registration period will finally elapse on 6th August 2010.This comes after the BFA extended the 2009/10 registration period on 7th June 2010. The BFA further stressed that there would be no registration, transfer nor loaning of players after the date stated above.
Chess meet
The National Development Bank Chess Clubs Championship will be held in Gaborone on 6th to 8th August 2010 in Gaborone. The 14 clubs taking part include Maite Chess Club from Mmashoro, Malabola Chess Club from Selibe Phikwe, Okavango Chess Club from Maun and Glorious Queens Club from Serowe. Tertiary institution like UB, GIPS, Police and Limkokwing will also be taking part. The team composition will be seven players per club.
BNSC indaba
The Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) will be hosting its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Francistown. The AGM will to be held at Tati River lodge on 24th July 2010. After the AGM, the BNSC will hand over donations to orphans through its Community Social Responsibility Programme during the afternoon. On 24th July the BNSC will host a sports Quiz competition for primary and secondary schools at the Civic Centre.
